This month, we had the opportunity to deliver two training sessions for the Petronas Operation Team in Miri, focusing on the Kasawari CCS Fuel Gas Conditioning Package. The first session provided an overview of the Kasawari CCS project, including its role in reducing carbon emissions, and the importance of fuel gas conditioning in maintaining safe and efficient operations. We discussed the key components of the Fuel Gas Conditioning Package, such as gas filtration, drying, and pressure regulation, which ensure that the fuel gas meets the required specifications for downstream processes.

In the second session, we shifted to a more hands-on approach, focusing on the operational and troubleshooting aspects of the system. The team learned how to monitor key parameters like pressure and moisture content, diagnose common issues such as filter clogging and gas dryer malfunctions, and implement best practices for regular maintenance and system upkeep. We also used simulation tools to help the team gain practical experience in troubleshooting and resolving potential issues.

Overall, the training was a valuable opportunity to enhance the Petronas Operation Team’s knowledge and skills related to the Kasawari CCS project. With this training, the team is now better equipped to operate and maintain the Fuel Gas Conditioning Package, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the success of Petronas’ efforts in carbon capture and storage. It was a rewarding experience to be part of this initiative and to help ensure the team is prepared for the challenges ahead.
